HarperCollins are pleased to announce the launch of a beautiful new rose, named after the nation’s favourite storyteller Josephine Cox
Rosa Josephine
Rosa Josephine was launched at the Hampton Court Palace Flower Show in July and at the Southport Flower Show in September.
'I am delighted at having a rose named after me. I’m also amazed that anyone should think me worthy of such a wonderful accolade. It’s a far cry from the backstreets of Blackburn, with never a flower in sight. My heartfelt thanks to all involved.’
A little about Rosa Josephine
- The rose grows to between 2ft 6” to 3ft tall about 2 feet wide.
- Oversized, striking, beautiful, dark, almost blood-red flowers. This makes
the rose an impressive and conspicuous addition to any garden.
- The flowers look particularly strong against the bright green foliage.
- It flowers from June until November or until the first hard frost.
- Rosa Josephine is a great repeat-bloomer responding well to dead-
heading.
The gorgeous Josephine Cox rose can be purchased online at C & K Jones International Rose Specialists. Bare root* roses will be available to buy from December 2009.
* Bare root roses mean that they can be planted but will not bloom until the season.
